The son beat his father to death: what happened in the once famous family in Chervonograd

In Chervonograd, Lviv region, a 34-year-old son called an ambulance for his father, who was allegedly attacked hooligans. He said that the day before he had come home beaten, he felt bad, and he died.

When the doctors with the police came to the call, they found only a dead pensioner – the son had disappeared somewhere. The version about the attack of hooligans crumbled when neighbors said that father and son often fought each other to the point of bleeding, mainly for money.

20 years ago, it was a well-known family of journalists in Chervonograd who was building tempting prospects for own son. Everything changed when the couple divorced. The son stayed with his father, and both literally slid down the social ladder to the very bottom.

Neighbors helped, brought food and things, but father and son continued to fight almost every day until the worst happened.

The fugitive son was quickly found and detained. He did not have time to get far from home. He said that he beat him in the evening and left him lying on the floor, while he went to sleep while he was dying in agony.

The Chervonograd police department said that injuries were found on the pensioner's body, including on the head. The injuries were incompatible with life.

Forensic experts confirmed that it was the blows of his son that caused the death of the man. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
