The Ukrainian defenders set themselves the task of moving the occupiers at least 20 kilometers from the water's edge in the Kherson region in order to reduce the intensity of shelling. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already partially fulfilled it.

Over the past two weeks, the number of shellings in the Kherson region has decreased. Yuriy Sobolevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, told Channel 24 about this.

Sobolevsky said there is information that the Russian invaders have moved part of the units deeper into the rear. Thus, they tried to get out of the fire control zone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The problem is that a large number of settlements are on the banks of the Dnieper. Now the Dnieper is a “gray zone” – in fact, it is “zero”. There, the enemy has many territories to equip positions and work on us from them, – said the deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.

According to him, it is not even about stationary positions. The invaders understand that Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance detects and destroys them very quickly. Usually they go to positions, work out and return.

At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders continue to work on the task and are doing well .

The enemy continues to terrorize the civilian population

Now the intensity of attacks by the occupiers is about 60 strikes per day. Consequently, about 400 – 500 enemy shells arrive on the territory of the Kherson region per day.

Sobolevsky noted that March 24 was a difficult day in the region. As a result of the cynical attacks of the occupiers , 2 people were killed and 6 more were injured . The victims have injuries of varying degrees of severity. They are currently in hospitals receiving medical care.

The next day, March 25, the enemy continued shelling Kherson. You can hear the counter-battery fight in the city – this is the work of the Ukrainian military.

“Fortunately, as of now (14:00 on March 25 – Channel 24) there are no victims of shelling,” the deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council emphasized.

According to him, such days in the Kherson region are rare.

• The invaders do not change their traditions and confidently confiscate the property of Ukrainians on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. Kherson activist Vladimir Molchanov said that the Russians have relaxed somewhat and are confident that they are safe.
• There are constant rotations of Russians in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson. They are being transferred to the eastern direction, where there is a significant shortage of personnel to confront the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
• Molchanov also added that about 8 thousand Russian soldiers are stationed on the left bank of Kherson and nearby. They are deployed mainly in residential apartment buildings or in the private sector in Novaya Kakhovka, Oleshki, Novaya Pristan.
