The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed back a group of Russian ships from the Ukrainian coast at a distance of more than a hundred kilometers.
At the same time, the Navy noted that the threat of missile strikes from the sea remains.
Since the Ukrainian defenders began to hit Russian ships more often, the aggressor country decided to change tactics and move away.
As a result of our active actions to defeat the enemy's naval forces, the ship grouping of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was thrown back from the Ukrainian coast at a distance of more than a hundred kilometers. – the message says.
Navy deprives Russia of full control over the northwestern part of the Black Sea
Due to Russian aggression, the northwestern part of the Black Sea has turned into a “gray zone”, but the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to deprive the invaders of control over this part of the water area. However, the enemy is trying to regain lost control through coastal missile systems and air-launched cruise missiles.
That is whyRussia has deployed Bal and Bastion coastal missile systems in the occupied Crimea and the Kherson region, and is also deploying additional forces to Zmeiny Island. So the situation in the northwestern part of the sea remains difficult.
The threat of missile strikes from the sea remains
The Navy noted that the occupiers may continue to launch missile strikes from the sea. Although the intensity of Caliber cruise missile strikes has decreased, the enemies have moved to another level – began to hit ground targets with anti-ship missiles, the main purpose of which is the destruction of warships and ships. Such actions indicate that the aggressor country used a significant amount of modern missile weapons and switched to obsolete types of missiles.
This probably indicates that Russia has used a significant amount of modern missile weapons and is forced to use outdated types of missiles, the stocks of which are sufficient to strike at our territory. – clarified in the department.
Help. Since February 24, Russian ships and submarines have fired more than 300 cruise missiles across Ukraine.
There is a threat of landing in the Odessa region
Up to 12 large landing ships are located in the Black Sea, but more than a third of them are under repair . At the same time, the Navy noted that the risk of landing tactical troops and sabotage and reconnaissance groups on the Odessa coast remains. And especially in favorable weather conditions in the summer.
But the marines, artillery units of the Navy and naval aviation continue to destroy the enemy as part of the groupings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Odessians are urged not to go to the beaches
- The beaches of Odessa are mined in case of a Russian landing landing. The representative of the Odessa OVA Sergey Bratchuk once again urged Odessans and guests of the city not to be in danger and to remember the security measures during martial law.
- Naval mines are also often thrown on the coast. Despite the calls of local authorities, many residents of the Odessa region violate the established rules. But there are other citizens who are trying to pull the violators out of the water on their own.
- On June 6, the Yug operational command reported that as of morning, a Russian ship and submarine remained in the Black Sea. In total, they have 12 cruise missiles.
- Meanwhile, an enemy group of approximately 30 ships and submarines continues to block civilian shipping.
