Representative of the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said that there were no changes regarding the presence of the UN mission in Ukraine. He told TASS about this.
When asked by the agency about whether there is evidence that indicates that the United States is withdrawing its employees from the UN mission in Ukraine, by analogy with the situation with the OSCE mission, the representative of the Secretary General replied that “there are no changes in the presence of the UN in Ukraine.”
Some media reported that a number of countries decided to redeploy their OSCE observers. After that, OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid has already stated that the mission will continue to fulfill the mandate without interruption.
Earlier, UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed confidence in the impossibility of a war in Ukraine, Dujarric said. The Secretary General is convinced that there will be no hostilities in Ukraine, and continues to believe in it, the representative of Guterres said in response.
