The United States is confident that Russia is preparing to

Jake Sullivan is convinced of the large number of casualties, because “this will not be just an ordinary war between two armies.”

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Russia is planning an “extremely violent” invasion of Ukraine to “crush” the Ukrainian people.

“We believe that any military operation of the size, scale and scale that we think the Russians are planning will be very violent. It will cost the lives of Ukrainians and Russians, civilians and military personnel,” Sullivan said during an appearance on NBC writes the Hill.

“But we also have the intelligence to suggest that there will be an even greater form of brutality because it will not just be a normal war between two armies,” he added. “This will be a war that Russia will wage with the Ukrainian people in order to suppress and harm them.”

As previously reported, on February 21, the President of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, announced the recognition of the “independence” of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”, and then, in the presence of militants Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, he signed a corresponding decree, as well as agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Russian Federation and the LDNR.

After that, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky convened an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Council amid a tense situation in Ukraine on Russia's recognition of the “independence” of the “LPR”.

Also late at night on February 22, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Ukrainians – because of the Russian threat and Putin's recognition of the “independence” of the terrorist “DPR” and “LPR”.
