The United States will prepare a law on the threat of S-400 for the F-35

The US Senate is working on a bill in which the sale to other countries of advanced weapons systems, in particular, the fifth generation F-35 Lightning II fighters, will be linked to restrictions on the purchase of the latest foreign technologies that threaten American, for example, the Russian S-400 Triumph system , writes Breaking Defense.

Among other bills under consideration in the United States, the publication notes the initiative of the member of the House of Representatives from the Democratic Party Eliot Engel, according to which the countries of the Middle East that want to purchase the F-35 Lightning II and other advanced weapons, such as drones, must inform Washington of the goals and plans the use of purchased weapons.

“Non-NATO countries such as Finland and Switzerland are also considering purchasing the F-35, and they will also have to adhere to the new rules if any version of the bills is passed,” writes Breaking Defense.

In October, the publication reported that the United States would pay Israel for the sale of fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighters to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by providing direct access to secret satellites for the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS).

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that the US State Department had notified Congress of its support for the proposal to sell 50 F-35 fighters to the UAE.

In September, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said that Israel's quality military superiority in the Middle East, regulated by the Qualitative Military Edge (QME) mechanism, will continue after the possible sale of the F-35 Lightning II fighters to the UAE.
