58 orphans are hiding in the basements of a church in Kherson temporarily occupied by the Russians. They are awaiting evacuation to the safe territory of Ukraine.

Ombudswoman Lyudmila Denisova announced the need for urgent evacuation of children from the orphanage in Kherson.

< p> She said that 58 orphans and children have been hiding in the basement of the local church in Kherson for more than a month. According to the Ombudswoman, 10 of them are children aged from 4 months to 1 year, and the rest are under 4 years old.

It is reported that children with disabilities who need special care and treatment are hiding in the basements.< /p>

We have found a safe location for these children in a region of Ukraine that is not actively fighting. There, the orphans will be provided with all the necessary assistance, treatment and care,” Denisova wrote.

The Ombudsman called for help in transporting children and opening a humanitarian corridor.
