Ukraine will receive modern F-16 fighter jets and, most importantly, there are already certain changes in this matter.

Yuri Ignat, speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about this in an exclusive interview with Channel 24 . According to him, Ukraine needs F-16s to protect against enemy rocket attacks on cities and critical infrastructure.

According to Ignat, F-16s are available in some countries, which are now being re-equipped with even newer aircraft. However, permission to transfer the fighters must be granted by Washington. He explained that it was “like with the Leopard tanks.”

Ukraine will be with new aircraft

The representative of the Air Force stressed that this issue is not easy, and therefore requires a lot of time and coordination. However, some progress has already been made.

Our partners are consistent. I think that Ukraine will have powerful wings that will help us save as many lives as possible and de-occupy our lands. – said Yuri Ignat.

Yuriy Ignat claims that Ukraine will have new aircraft anyway. According to him, this issue was considered even before the start of the war in 2014.
