The occupiers continue mercilessly hitting Mariupol, where there are still many civilians. There are practically no shelters left in the city, so many civilians are on the territory of Azovstal.

Maxim Zhorin, co-commander of the Azov Kyiv Special Forces Regiment, said this on the air of Channel 24. He noted that Mariupol residents are looking for shelter there in order to somehow protect themselves from enemy shelling.

There are no shelters left in the city

“On “Azovstal” is much more than a thousand people. The fact is that in principle there are no shelters left in the city where you can hide from shelling,” Zhorin said.

In addition, he noted that in Mariupol now there are about 100 thousand civilians. According to him, they are hiding in different shelters.

Green corridor is not enough

As Zhorin noted, in order to evacuate all Mariupol residents, it is not enough just to agree with Russia about another green corridor, which, most likely, will be fired upon by the occupiers. A complete ceasefire and control of the sky is needed in order to find all the people, get them out from under the rubble and take them out.
