The Russians continue to storm Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and have partial success. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may decide on the withdrawal of Ukrainian soldiers from the city.

This opinion was expressed by Channel 24 military expert Oleg Zhdanov. According to him, there is already a message that some Ukrainian units are leaving Bakhmut.

The Russians can surround Bakhmut

Zhdanov noted that the Russians had partial success in the Bakhmut direction. The invaders have already advanced in the direction of Dubovo-Vasilyevka, Khromovo is under enemy fire control, and the occupiers control the area of the meat-packing plant in Bakhmut. A certain advance of Russia is observed in the south of the city.

At the same time, Russian troops were defeated in their attempts to attack the villages of Ivanovskoye and Stupochki, he claims.

According to the military expert, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will decide on the withdrawal of the Ukrainian military from Bakhmut, despite some successes of our fighters. He noted that there are already reports that some Ukrainian units are leaving Bakhmut.

I think that the command will make such a decision, despite the fact that over the past 24 hours we have managed to prevent the Russian troops from advancing to close the ring around the city. A day later, the enemy did not advance even a meter towards the encirclement. We hold the flanks to the north, northwest and southwest of Bakhmut, he is convinced.

Oleg Zhdanov stressed that there is a threat of Bakhmut being surrounded by Russian troops. The invaders are constantly hitting the city with artillery. The situation in Bakhmut is extremely critical.

What is happening at the front: the main thing

• The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Miners directions. Over the past day, our defenders repulsed more than 150 enemy attacks on them.
• In Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, intense fighting continues. The Ukrainian defense is under increasing pressure from the Russian invaders. The British Ministry of Defense also reported the destruction of bridges by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
