The Institute for the Study of War analyzed the situation in Bakhmut. According to reports, the general offensive of the Wagnerites seems to be nearing a climax. The compilers of the report refer to Ukrainian military sources. They noticed that the number of attacks both in the city itself and in its environs had significantly decreased. This trend has continued in recent days.

The situation with the mercenaries was greatly influenced by shell hunger. So much so that Prigozhin on March 15 announced that the Wagnerites were forced to expand their encirclement around the city. “Putin's Cook” said that his fighters managed to capture Zheleznyanskoye. This is a small village located 9 kilometers northwest of Bakhmut. It should be understood that it lies on the eastern side of the E40 Bakhmut – Slavyansk highway.

According to the authors of the report, the capture of Zheleznyanskaya and other similar settlements, spread out to the north of Bakhmut and east of the E40 highway, is unlikely to enhance the ability of Prigozhin's mercenaries to capture the city itself.
