“There is no time to waste”: the United States is in a hurry to give Ukraine everything it needs for the spring counteroffensive
The United States wants to quickly send Ukraine the necessary equipment on the battlefield. They also train our defenders before the big spring counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said there was no time to waste. According to him, American armored vehicles must be transferred to the battlefield as soon as possible.
US rushes to give Ukraine everything it needs for spring counteroffensive
We must quickly and fully fulfill our promised obligations. This includes getting our armored vehicles to the battlefield and ensuring that Ukrainian soldiers receive the training, spare parts and maintenance they need to use these new systems as quickly as possible,” Austin said.
Thus, the United States is increasingly concerned about the reduction in the supply of ammunition and air defense systems to Ukraine. The Pentagon says that regardless of Kyiv's strategy on the battlefield, the US wants Ukrainian soldiers to have the weapons they need to win.
What Ukraine needs to win
- Missiles to HIMARS;
- rockets to MARS;
- 155 mm shells;
- 120 mm mines;
- missiles for air defense systems;
- missiles for ATGM systems (anti-tank missile systems);
- aviation means of destruction;
- loitering ammunition (kamikaze drones);
- tank shells 105 and 125 millimeters.
Armed Forces are preparing for a counteroffensive
- Recently, adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, predicted the timing of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
- As Aleksey Danilov noted, one should not rush to the timing of the counteroffensive. It is being prepared, and everything will be decided by the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. They listen to the proposals of the Ukrainian military.
- By the way, journalists from The Washington Post said that the counter-offensive process is “in doubt.” Thus, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Alexei Danilov, began to refute the information provided by the journalists.
