Zaluzhny called the Armed Forces of Ukraine the first army in the world/press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The slogan “Never again” did not come true, because in the center of Europe there is again a bloody and insidious war. However, we will definitely win, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine are the first army in the world.
We defeated Nazism – we will defeat rashism as well
Video for the Day memory and reconciliation was published by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
The aggressor cynically uses the memory and terms of World War II. But we will stand. We are strong. The Armed Forces of Ukraine is the first army in the world. If we defeated Nazism, we will also defeat rashism,” he wrote.
About 7 million Ukrainians fought against Nazism in the ranks of the allied army in 1939-1945.
Important! World War II is considered the most bloody and cruel in the history of mankind. According to various estimates, from 50 to 80 million people died in it.
Celebrating victory in the context of bloody battles and heavy losses is completely inappropriate. However, the Soviet Union did this and Russia continues to work.
“Never again” turned into “again”
This year, due to the war that Russia started in Ukraine, there will be no mass measures on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation on May 8 and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II on May 9.
The popular expression “Never again” was used in Ukraine as a reminder that the terrible events of those times should never be repeated . Now, however, the words have taken on a different meaning. The Russians have invaded our land, into our souls. Our children are being killed and our cities are being destroyed.
Recall that Vladimir Zelensky addressed the Ukrainians on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. The head of state recorded a video in the bombed-out Borodyanka and asked against the backdrop of the ruins what kind of threat this city could pose to Russia. Perhaps this threat was posed by people who fell asleep in their arms in their apartments on the night they were awakened by Russian missiles.
