Ukrainian fighters shot down a Russian Su-24 aircraft near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The warrior of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar managed to eliminate the enemy equipment.
The fighter shot down the plane on March 15 from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system. Irina Rybakova, press officer of the 93rd mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar, said on the air of the telethon that they were actually present when the Russian plane was shot down

Irina Rybakova said that they managed to film how the fighters shot down an enemy plane from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system.
Plus, Ukrainian drones filmed the moment the plane crashed, and there is confirmation that this is indeed a downed Russian plane.
Judging by the filming, there was an ejection of the pilot. Still, I think that they (the Russians – Channel 24) will reduce air activity for the next few days, – said Irina Rybakova.
She also added that fighters working on the Igla man-portable anti-aircraft missile system said:
- Russian enemy aviation flies into Bakhmut approximately 6 times a day;
- it can be planes and helicopters;
- at night, when it is more difficult to shoot down planes, enemies drop bombs from them on houses.
