They are afraid of a counteroffensive, – Zhdanov explained why Russia is transferring soldiers to the Kherson region

According to open information, the invaders are strengthening their grouping on the left bank of the Kherson region. No additional equipment is brought there, and many invaders do not even have bulletproof vests.

About thisChannel 24said military expert Oleg Zhdanov. According to the latest information, the invaders are bringing personnel to the Kherson direction. Similar actions can be noted in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporozhye region.

Russians are afraid of a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to Zhdanov, the Russian invaders are afraid of a potential counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Melitopol. Therefore, they strengthen their own defense capabilities.

They are very afraid that we will launch an offensive against Melitopol. Therefore, they are reinforcing groups near Tokmak, Melitopol, Vasilyevka and trying to build a line of defense. And they are trying to make a fortified area around Melitopol,” Zhdanov noted.

Based on this open information, as Zhdanov suggests, it can be argued that the invaders are preparing more for defense than for offensive operations.

Despite this, the Russians tried to carry out offensive operations in 3 areas in the Zaporozhye direction. True, as Zhdanov noted, it was like reconnaissance in force. At one of the sites, they threw 2 platoons – the Ukrainian military immediately burned the enemy infantry fighting vehicle. In the other two directions, the invaders generally walked.
