They are afraid of shortages: Belarus banned the export of cereals, flour and pasta

Belarus, because of the fear of shortages, banned the export of a number of goods from the country. In particular, we are talking about some groups, flour and pasta.

The relevant decision was taken by the authorities for 3 months. This was reported on March 30 in the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus.

Lukashenko was banned from exporting certain products from the country

The Decree introduced a ban on export outside Belarus of rice, cereals and wholemeal flour from rye or barley, grains of processed cereals, pasta, the message says.

The authorities of the country named the purpose of such an act:

  • avoiding the creation of a shortage;
  • observance of the food security of the country.

In addition, it is known that the authorities' ban does not apply to goods that:

  • are exported from the country as international humanitarian aid to foreign states or as stocks;
  • transported as international transit shipments that start and end outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union;
  • are subject to customs procedures in a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union and are moved in transit.

The ban comes into force after publication and will be valid for 3 months.
