They can take advantage of this: the GUR warned that Russia is preparing a new attack
Russia is preparing to deliver another massive blow to Ukraine, although it has announced the so-called “Christmas truce”. The Kremlin can take advantage of the fact that a cooling is moving in Ukraine.
This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vadim Skibitsky, who noted that Ukraine expects new strikes from Russia. He stressed that the Kremlin's statements about the “truce” mean nothing, because it's just propaganda.
The GUR told when there could be a new attack by Russia
Skibitsky said that the GUR had information that Russia was preparing new bombardments. “We do not rule out that there will be a new attack at the end of the holiday,” he says.
The representative of the GUR stressed that the Russians had a problem with missiles, which are in short supply due to massive attacks. In particular, Russia has only 90 Iskanders.
So, before the New Year, the Russians used only 20 missiles in raids. In October they were producing 70 to 80. Now they also use a mixture of air-launched and sea-launched missiles, as well as drones. We also know that they only have 90 Iskanders left. They have problems with the production of these weapons. And they also reduced the frequency of the bombing,” Skibitsky said.
At the same time, he believes that the Russians will still try to strike at the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
“Temperatures are expected to drop today and tomorrow. And they are trying to leave the population of all Ukraine without electricity, especially at these moments when it is colder,” the representative of the GUR summed up.
