They can withdraw forces from the Bakhmut direction, – a military expert suggested the plan of the Russians
The occupiers became more active in the Avdiivka area. However, the task of the enemy has not changed, his goal is to reach the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
However, the Russians have not been able to realize this for six months already. This was told to Channel 24 by Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve and military expert Igor Romanenko.
What the Russians are up to in Avdiivka
The tactics of the enemy in recent times are quite understandable. So, if the invaders fail to reach the goal with frontal attacks, they begin to encircle. This can be seen in the actions of the occupying troops and their respective units around Bakhmut, in particular in the north and south of the city.
A similar situation is now in Avdiivka. Consequently, if the Russian invaders cannot achieve success in one sector of the front and they do not have significant resources, there is only one way out.
According to preliminary intelligence, the Russians can withdraw their forces and send them for reinforcement, for example, to Avdiivka,” the Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
In his opinion, the invaders are planning the same approach and advance in Avdiivka as in Bakhmut. So, the width of the corridor in Bakhmut is about 4 kilometers. At the same time, in Avdiivka – up to 10 kilometers, but its length is increasing. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are carrying out the counter-actions necessary for the situation.
