During his speech on September 21, the head of the Kremlin paid special attention to “referendums” in the self-proclaimed republics of the “DPR” and LNR. Vladimir Putin cynically declared that Russia “cannot abandon people”.

He also promised to do everything to ensure the safe holding of “referenda”.
