The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court acquitted the Servant of the People for the second time in a day. This time, Maxim Pashkovsky, who also did not enter a rented apartment in Pechersk in the declaration.

What did the court decide on Pashkovsky

The court accepted that Maxim Igorevich Pashkovsky be found not guilty of committing a criminal offense under part 1 of Article 366-2 (declaring false information – Channel 24) and acquitted due to the absence of a criminal offense in his actions, – decided in the VAKS.

However, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court added that the verdict can be appealed on appeal within 30 days after its announcement. To do this, an appeal must be filed with the Appeals Chamber of the VAKS.

What is known about the Pashkovsky case

In December 2022, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported the suspicion to MP from the Servants of the People Maxim Pashkovsky. He allegedly forgot to declare the rent of an apartment in the elite Pechersk in Kyiv.

According to the materials of the NACP, the investigation during the investigation found that Pashkovsky did not indicate in the declaration for 2020. renting an apartment worth approximately 2 million hryvnias . It should be noted that the deputy rented housing for a year.

Thus, the people's choice did not declare real estate, more than 865 times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, which violated the requirements of the law on the prevention of corruption, the SAP said.

It should be noted that in the case of Yury Kamelchuk, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office stated that it was already preparing an appeal.

Briefly about the Kamelchuk case

  • People's Deputy Yuriy Kamelchuk reported the suspicion at the end of December 2022. The reason is that he did not indicate in the declaration for 2020 an apartment on Pechersk in the center of Kyiv worth more than 3.6 million hryvnias. He rented the property from October 2019 to October 2021.
  • Also, Kamelchuk decided not to include in the declaration a loan from a bank for more than 48.8 thousand dollars. According to the SAP, it exceeded 50 living wages for able-bodied persons. That is why it was subject to mandatory declaration.
  • However, on March 16, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court decided that Yury Kamelchuk was not guilty. In particular, because of “the lack of evidence in his actions of the elements of a criminal offense.”
