They themselves recorded their crimes: why did the ISS start with the deportation of children
The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin over his involvement in the kidnapping of Ukrainian children. Obviously, this is not the dictator's only crime, but it was the easiest to prove.
Political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman told Channel 24 about this. According to him, sometimes people underestimate important news, and that is exactly what happened in this case.
This news was underestimated
Mikhail Sheitelman said that since he heard in the media from the Russian Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova about the “adoption” of a child from Mariupol, he immediately realized that this person was talking about an extremely serious crime right on camera.
These people have now recorded a very large-scale crime on camera, which has been proven. Because what is the crime? If you took a child, stole it and transported it across the border, according to the severity of the crime, it’s like international terrorism, in all papers it all goes through a comma: international terrorism, international trafficking of children,” Sheitelman said.
The political strategist also noted that a meeting was held in Russia with Putin, the topic of which was the distribution of stolen children. Then, before the Russian press, a representative of the structure that deals with the abduction of children, said that Vladimir Putin personally decided in which region how many abducted children to send.
That is, he runs an international organization for child trafficking. There is nowhere to put it and nowhere to hide it, – Mikhail Sheitelman emphasized.
In addition to television evidence, the political strategist noted that Yale University conducted a study that identified 6,000 children whom the Russians took from their parents to concentration camps in Russia.
Why the International Criminal Court opened a child abduction case in the first place: watch the video
According to Sheitelman, this is another strong evidence, since this is not even a witness statement, but a whole scientific study. He added that Putin's other crimes against Ukraine and its citizens should be proved in more detail.
Other crimes take time to investigate
“Now investigators have arrived, criminologists from France and they are doing this. Therefore, our courts condemn these people one by one.
He said that, for example, Ukrainians understand that Putin gave the order to commit crimes in Bucha, but there must be real evidence for the international investigation, and the investigation may take a long time.
Mikhail Shetelman also named an example when a Russian missile hits a residential building. In this case, it is possible to prove the guilt of the pilot who did this, but it is difficult to collect evidence regarding the involvement of the commander of the Russian Air Force or the commander in chief.
It is for these reasons, according to Sheitelman, that the investigation into other categories of Russian crimes is being delayed, and it was the fastest way to collect evidence on the abduction of children.
