President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the occupiers, having not met any support on our land, decided to kidnap the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

Zelensky said this in his address.

According to him, Ivan Fedorov courageously defended Ukraine and the people in his society.

“Obviously, this is a sign of the weakness of the invaders. They did not meet any support in our land. Even though they had high hopes for it. Because for years they lied to themselves that supposedly they were waiting for Russia in Ukraine. They did not find collaborators who would hand over cities and power to the occupiers,” the president emphasized.

Therefore, now they have moved to a new stage of terror, when they are trying to physically remove representatives of the legitimate authorities on the ground.
