Prigozhin wants more power.

The head of the Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, came out politically and announced his ambitions to run for the presidency of Ukraine in the 2024 elections.

Writer, political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman said live on the Freedom TV channel that Prigozhin means that “another Ukraine will be created.”

“This is what I heard in his statement. Apart from the fact that this is just shocking, which Prigozhin has recently become interested in, although he used to try to be a serious character in the political arena, here we are talking about the creation of the Ukraine.2 project. And he asks Putin about this – this, in my opinion, is a realistic plan – no one promised us victory and no one guaranteed it – we know that there will be a spring counteroffensive, but we do not know whether it will be successful. “Now they have begun a new mobilization, so their plans can be considered realistic. I'm not sure that in three years those territories that are occupied today will not be occupied in the future. Nobody recognizes them, but this is different. Nobody recognized Russian Crimea, but he has been Russian for nine years already. Therefore, it is legally impossible, but practically, from a power point of view, it happens in different ways. They suffer losses, and so do we. But we have no guarantees of victory,” he said.

Recall, on March 11, a video appeared in which the cook of “Putin” Yevgeny Prigozhin announced his ambitions to run for the presidency of Ukraine in 2024. He said he made a “political coming out” and decided to become Ukrainian president. He hopes to win the election.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov reacted to Prigozhin's statement about his desire to run for president of Ukraine. Danilov called him a “sick man.”
