MOSCOW, April 8. / TASS /. TikTok will support the annual Digital Dictation campaign in 2021. This was reported in the press service of the social network.

“This year, TikTok will support the annual Digital Dictation campaign, the largest digital literacy test in Russia. Popular content authors will try to pass Digital Dictation on the air.”

It is noted that the head of the “Digital Dictation” project Sergey Grebennikov, as well as the blogger Wylsacom and other experts from April 10 to April 21, will analyze the main questions from the testing live. Also in 2021, the “Digital Dictation” testing sections for adolescents 14-17 years old and for people in the age group 18-59 years old will include questions about how short video services work and safety tips from TikTok.

According to the press release, experts of the Internet industry will hold special broadcasts dedicated to different competencies that every Internet user should have and important knowledge about services: countering phishing, cyberbullying and cyber threats, content moderation and artificial intelligence.

Digital Dictation is an annual event recognized as the largest digital literacy test in Russia. It enables users not only to find out their level of digital competencies, but also to go through the work on mistakes and form their own personal trajectory for the development of missing knowledge and skills.

In 2020, the Digital Dictation campaign became the largest initiative to test knowledge in the field of information technology in the Russian Federation. It was attended by 330 148 people (in 2019 – 39 398). The average value of the digital literacy level of the participants in the 2020 campaign was 7.25 points out of 10 possible (in 2019 – 7.15 points).
