Trump's headquarters filed a lawsuit demanding to stop the counting of votes in another state

The campaign headquarters of US President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit demanding to stop the counting of votes in another state – Pennsylvania. This was announced in a statement by the deputy chief of staff, Justin Clark, quoted by RIA Novosti.

“We are filing a lawsuit to prevent Democratic workers from hiding ballots and their processing from our Republican observers at polling stations in the elections,” the statement said.

In Philadelphia and other states, observers were forced to remain 25 feet (over 7.5 meters) from the counting area at all times, Clark said. He noted that the observers did not get a real opportunity to do their job. “We are also filing a lawsuit demanding to temporarily suspend the counting until there is reasonable transparency and Republicans can not be sure that all the counts are open and legally,” concluded Clark.

Republicans also filed a lawsuit against Democrats for alleged violations of electoral law regarding the identification of voters who vote by mail.

Earlier, Trump's headquarters filed a similar lawsuit to suspend the counting of votes in Michigan and the key state – Wisconsin.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
