The highest level of alert has been declared in Turkey.

In Turkey as at 13.15 there was another very strong shock.

According to Yeni Safak, the earthquake was felt in many cities of Turkey, and its intensity was more than 7 on the Richter scale.

Recall that the epicenter of an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale was recorded 37 km from the Turkish city of Gaziantep with almost a million inhabitants. The number of victims of the earthquake is growing rapidly. Nearly 1,000 people are already known to have died. More than two thousand were injured. Over 1,700 houses destroyed.

This is one of the strongest earthquakes in Turkey in the last 100 years. Due to the fact that it happened at night, many were sleeping in their beds and simply did not have time to leave their homes.
