The Turkish company Baykar Makina, which created the well-known Bayraktar drone, has unveiled a new prototype of a combat UAV. It will be called Kızılelma and will be equipped with Ukrainian engines.
Relevant photos were posted on Baykar Makina's Twitter page on March 27.
Earlier, a statement about the first prototype of a new drone. The National Unmanned Combat Air System (MIUS) has been named Kızılelma (“Red Apple”).
MUIS will be jet-powered and is expected to be able to take off and land on Turkey's flagship amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu (under construction), it said. /strong>
We add that this drone will be the company's first jet drone. The platform will fly at supersonic speeds at high altitude. The first flight was previously scheduled for 2023.
