At the difficult time of a full-scale Russian invasion, Western countries tirelessly help Ukraine. Such partners were celebrated on September 9 at the Courage Alley in Kyiv.

Yes, two new name plates were opened on the Courage Alley. During their opening, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine will always be grateful to those states and peoples who supported us in the most difficult times of the war.

The opening took place in the presence of President Vladimir Zelensky, President of Latvia Egils Levits and Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.

What did these partners do for Ukraine

According to Vladimir Zelensky, President of Latvia Egils Levitsstrongly condemned the actions of the Russians from the first days of a full-scale Russian invasion. He called the actions of the occupiers the genocide of the Ukrainian people and stressed that Ukraine must receive the necessary assistance to defeat the aggressor.

In addition, he supported the initiative to deprive Latvian residents of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Worthy of attention! During this meeting, Egils Levits presented Vladimir Zelensky with the highest military award of Latvia – the Order of Viestura. The decision to award the President of Ukraine was made for the heroic defense of their country, land, as well as for protecting the security of Europe.

In the early days, when few people believed in Ukraine in the face of a terrible attack by Russia, officials from Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic arrived in Kyiv .

It was one of the most difficult moments of the war. When there was still no faith in our security among the leaders of many countries, we had a very brave team,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki was together with Ukraine with the first days of a full-scale war and more than once condemned Russian aggression. He noted that the free world should continue to help Ukraine through the supply of weapons and humanitarian steps, and also supported the protection of internally displaced persons from our country and the sanctions policy against Russia.
