Ukraine will resume railway communication with Moldova/Channel 24 Collage
On June 23, Vice Prime Minister of Moldova Andrei Spinu and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov signed a memorandum of understanding between the ministries and the development of railway communication.
The restoration of rail transport will allow Moldova to export and import goods through the port of Izmail. Accordingly, traffic jams in the port of Reni will then decrease. At the same time, our country will be able to export goods to Moldova and EU countries.
Trains will run on the section of the railway Berezino (Ukraine) – Bessarabka (Moldova). Chisinau will also build 1.2 kilometers of tracks, and Kyiv – about 23 kilometers.
