Ukraine has declared the loss of “moral superiority”
Ukraine has lost its “moral superiority” in the eyes of the European Union, so the latter seeks a dialogue with Russia, said the head of the Verkhovna Rada's committee on Ukraine's integration into the EU, Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The parliamentarian noted that attempts to establish contacts with Moscow, in particular the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, are partly caused by the “erosion” of Kiev's position, which “has ceased to be clear and based on values.”
Klimpush-Tsintsadze emphasized that in the conditions of completion and commissioning of the pipeline, Ukraine needs a “real strategy”, its main component should be security, as well as economic and technical components.
“There is no such step-by-step strategy yet. Ukraine should not agree to any economic compensation. This is a question of our survival, ”said the MP. She concluded that Kiev will be better heard by the European Union if “real reforms” continue.
Earlier, the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yevgeny Muraev, on the air of the Nash TV channel, predicted that Ukraine would split into four parts. According to the politician, Western countries such as Poland, Hungary and Romania pursue their own goals, investing money in adjacent Ukrainian territories free of charge, as well as actively distributing their passports to Ukrainians.
