The European Investment Bank (EIB) has allocated € 640 million to Ukraine for the implementation of priority projects in the field of infrastructure and transport, reports UNN.
“Today, on December 9, the European Investment Bank and the Ukrainian government signed 3 loan agreements for a total of 640 million euros for the implementation of priority projects in the field of infrastructure and transport,” the statement said.
The head of the Ministry of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy explained for what purposes the money will be spent.
“Ukraine will receive € 640 million to improve infrastructure in the eastern region, renovate the road network of the Luhansk region, as well as purchase electric public transport in almost 20 Ukrainian cities. I am grateful to our constant partners with the EIB for all-round cooperation and assistance to Ukraine. We are working further, “Krikliy explained.
