The United States staged a “missile surprise” for Russia in Crimea. Forbes reports.
The author of the American publication said that, as part of the exercise, the US ground forces redeployed two combat vehicles of the HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) long-range multiple launch rocket system to Romania, fired several missiles into the air and returned the installations to Germany. He believes that such actions by the United States are a message to Russia.
The expert noted that in this way Washington is trying to demonstrate the power of its army. Forbes also announced that the launch of the missiles came as a surprise to the Russian troops in Crimea.
Earlier it was reported that the United States would prepare KC-46 and C-17 for an attack on Russia. Air Force Commander Jacqueline Van Ovost said the KC-46 military tanker and the C-17 Globemaster III strategic transport aircraft of the United States Air Force (Air Force) in future conflicts should be able to drop smart bombs and transmit tactical data. According to her, these aircraft will use “holes” in the anti-missile defense (ABM) of such high-tech adversaries as China and Russia to strike.
