Dmitry Orlov, the current mayor of the temporarily occupied Energodar, said that the occupiers began to equip their firing positions on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. The invaders are also hiding in residential areas of the city.

According to Dmitry Orlov, Russians began to use heavy weapons near the ZNPP . This situation has been observed for the past week already.

Occupiers are shelling the neighboring coast – the city of Nikopol. They know full well that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not respond to these attacks, as they could damage the nuclear power plant. Therefore, the invaders use the Zaporozhye NPP as a fortress,” the mayor of Energodar emphasized.

The official also added that panic is now spreading among the residents of Energodar and the workers of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. After all, they see that the Russians are equipping their positions at the ZNPP and in residential areas, exposing civilians to danger.
