Vortex at Thiem: Physiotherapist experiences separation from the manager
Austria's tennis star and physiotherapist Alex Stober will go their separate ways in the future.
Alex Stober often looked after Dominic Thiem and treated the tennis star into the night. This will end in the future. The Lower Austrian has separated from his long-time physiotherapist, as the German confirmed to tennisnet.com.
Stober has been at Thiem's side since 2015. Ex-trainer Günter Bresnik had arranged him. Bresnik himself has not been at the Austrian's side since 2019. Thiem has celebrated his greatest successes with Stobers services, including the US Open victory in 2020.

The end is all the more surprising. Galo Blanco, Thiems' new manager, is said to have informed the physiotherapist of the end of the collaboration after the world-class player's comeback was recently delayed.
“I was absolutely loyal to Dominic for six years – and then he doesn't even have the courage to tell me that we are no longer working together,” says Stober, disappointed. The German had previously worked with Pete Sampras, Michael Stich, Andre Agassi, Gustavo Kuerten and Angelique Kerber.
