Russia still wants to use its last strength to show its strength and threaten the world from time to time. But it seems that the world has already understood all the fakeness of the aggressor and is no longer afraid.
In particular, this was assured by the commander of the Royal Air Force of Great Britain Mike Wigston. According to him, British warplanes and pilots are ready for war with Russia, provided that she threatens London or its allies.
The British military noted that Russia is becoming “more and more aggressive.” He insists that the world must be prepared for this. This situation is the most important lesson for European security from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
There is no doubt in my mind that Russia is the most pressing threat to British and European security. Just look at her actions not only in Ukraine, but also in Georgia. I have no doubt that we are training to be ready for precisely this clear and present threat,” Wigston said.
At the same time, he expressed the hope that such a scenario would not become a reality. He believes deterrence is enough for Russia.
“But if the day comes when Russia commits aggression against a NATO state, we will be ready,” he assured.
The British Air Command stressed that London, together with partners, works daily and carries out daily training that gives their forces “superiority in close combat.”
Britain stands by Ukraine
- London recently decided to give our state another billion pounds. Great Britain supports us and helps us fight the enemy. Also, the British will send the latest aircraft carrier to the eastern flank of NATO and an additional 1,000 troops. And Ukrainian soldiers study in the UK.
- In addition, the UK does not hold back its sanctions against Russia and imposes them resolutely. The country has already introduced new sanctions against Russian businessmen and officials. The oligarch Vladimir Potanin, the richest man in Russia in 2021, was also included in the sanctions list.
- The UK as a whole has become a leader in supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia. According to the expert, it was largely able to take this position thanks to Brexit – leaving the European Union in 2020.
