The situation in the southern part of Ukraine remains tense. Now powerful battles are taking place there.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed the enemy back from Nikolaev – almost at the turn of the Kherson region. Now there are battles for virtually every village. The military and people's deputy Roman Kostenko spoke about this on the air of Channel 24.
The invaders are trying to defend themselves
According to him, the enemy is digging in and trying to defend himself. At the same time, the occupiers are firing at civilians with prohibited weapons.
We have won everything back (they are talking about Nikolaev – Channel 24). We think not how to defend ourselves, but how to further liberate Kherson,” Kostenko emphasized.
He explained that the occupiers control the Kherson region – with the help of aviation, their armed forces. There are not many of them in the city itself, but they are trying to gain a foothold.
