Mikhail Podolyak said that Ukraine controls the situation on the border with Belarus. In particular, the Ukrainian authorities explained that they also understand Lukashenka's motives and Moscow's desires.

Relevant information was reported by an adviser to the head of the President's Office on the Rada channel on May 26. In particular, this happened after Lukashenka's statement to create an operational command on the border with Ukraine.

Podolyak told about the situation on the border with Belarus

Mikhail Podolyak explained that Ukraine has communication with Belarus, intelligence is also constantly working and special entities are involved in assessing the situation on the border.

We absolutely control the situation in the Belarusian -Ukrainian border. And we perfectly understand all the motives that induce Mr. Lukashenko to make these statements. Podolyak explained.

He also added that such statements are typical for the current Belarusian leadership. Like, it is like a dog in the manger – it wants and does not want at the same time, it can and cannot at the same time.

Russia seeks to involve the CSTO countries in the war

Andrei Yermak's adviser explained that after the meeting in Sochi, it was very necessary to show “unity” within the framework of the so-called union state “Russia-Belarus”, therefore Lukashenka was with Putin.

“I understand that Russia works professionally on the territory of Ukraine, fights professionally. Therefore, it encourages the CSTO countries and, first of all, Belarus to take more active actions. It does not have enough of its own forces and reserves, so they want to use any other armed forces of other countries “, – said Mykhailo Podolyak.

He also explained that against such a large and powerful state as Ukraine, they should definitely fight from a dozen countries that Russia could invite. And then to say, like, look what a powerful army we have – they say, we coped with Ukraine thanks to a “good” team.

Podolyak added that Lukashenka has become accustomed to such constant statements over 20 years.< /p>

I believe that it is suicidal for the Belarusian army to enter the territory of Ukraine. I understand that today they can use cruise missiles, this is the main weapon of Russia – they fight remotely. – explained the adviser to the head of the President's Office.

Added, – if Lukashenko gives such an order, then his “stunning career” as a dictator will end very, very unexpectedly for him.

What preceded this

  • On May 26, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the creation of an operational command on the border with Ukraine. Their military is already practicing the defense of their territories.
  • After all, Lukashenka is again talking nonsense that he allegedly sees “threats” because of the war in Ukraine. Allegedly, this is why the Belarusian military “are forced to quickly, on the go, work out the defense” of the South of Belarus.
  • On May 26, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar commented on their military exercises and stated that the threat from the territory of Belarus remains. From the first day of the full-scale attack, Moscow has been using the territory of Belarus to conduct aggressive actions.
  • Russian publicist Andrei Piontkovsky explained that Lukashenka, on pain of execution, refuses to send troops to Ukraine. He does this not because he is allegedly a “friend of the Ukrainian people”, but because he understands that this army will immediately become the Belarusian national legion and go to dump it.
  • In addition, partisans operate in Belarus. For example, in March of this year, they stopped Russian trains and damaged the equipment of the invaders.
