Zelensky expressed condolences to the United States due to the tragedy in Texas/Office of the President

Vladimir Zelensky spoke on May 27 to Stanford students. The Ukrainian leader mentioned the tragedy in Texas. A young man opened fire in an elementary school and killed 21 people.

19 children and 2 adults became victims of the shooting. Zelensky noted that this is impossible to understand, this is a tragedy, Channel 24 reports.

The President recalled how Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine began on February 24. Zelensky said that at the time, 18-year-old Russian guys entered the homes of Ukrainians to kill, torture and rape. It's hard to understand why.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized: on May 24 – exactly three months later – an 18-year-old boy entered a regular school and killed 19 children and 2 adults.

And we live in a terrible time, when Americans express condolences to Ukrainians because of death in the war. And the Ukrainians express their condolences to the Americans because of the death in the world. Please accept my condolences,” Zelensky said.

Finally, he urged Stanford students to take care of themselves, their families, loved ones, friends and the world.

Tragedy in Texas

• The tragedy occurred in an elementary school in the city of Uvaldi. Greg Abbott – the governor of the city – said that an 18-year-old guy opened fire. 19 children and 2 adults were killed.
