What targets will become available to the Armed Forces after receiving GLSDB missiles from the US

In a new aid package for Ukraine, on February 3, the United States announced the provision of GLSDB small bombs to Ukraine. With their help, the distance at which Ukrainian soldiers will be able to hit hostile targets will increase significantly.

GLSDB missiles can be used in HIMARS systems, which Ukraine already skillfully operates. The provided ammunition significantly increases the possibility of hitting hostile targets on the territory of our state. Read more about what targets will become available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the article Channel 24.

Where the Armed Forces can now destroy hostile targets

Kherson region and Crimea

With the available shells in HIMARS, the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive Oleshki, Golaya Pristan and Skadovsk and other settlements in the area. However, GLSDB missiles will make it possible to establish fire control over almost the entire Kherson region, except for Genicheska. Also, one of the two land routes to the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula through Armyansk will be able to get under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. the latter, by the way, will also be in the zone of destruction of GLSDB missiles, and with it Krasnoperekopskoe and the northwestern coast of Crimea in the area of Karkinitsky Bay.

Zaporozhye

In the Zaporozhye region, the entire temporarily occupied territory of the region, including Melitopol and Berdyansk, will become quite achievable goals. The available forces make it possible to attack enemy positions from the demarcation line to Melitopol, for example, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repeatedly attacked the accumulation of enemy manpower in this region, in particular in Tokmak and Vasilyevka.

Donetsk region

Missiles GLSDB will allow the armed forces to hit hostile targets throughout the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. Our soldiers will be able to hit targets in the areas of Mariupol, Novoazovsk, Snizhne, Torez and Amvrosievka, which they cannot do with shells.

Luhansk region

GLSDB missiles will bring a special surprise to the invaders in the Luhansk region. With the currently available shells, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can hit hostile targets in the territory of the Lugansk region, which was captured after the start of a full-scale invasion. Although the eastern regions of the region will remain unreachable for these missiles.

Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to destroy hostile targets in Luhansk, Khrustalny and Anthracite and in nearby settlements.

When Ukraine will receive GLSDB missiles

Foreign Policy correspondent Jack Detsch, citing the Pentagon, said that the deployment of GLSDB missiles in Ukraine will take about 9 months. That is, if we rely on these words, our soldiers will be able to use them in November this year. However, the journalist deleted his message.

In a new message, Jack Detch noted that he erroneously wrote that GLSDB missiles cannot be launched from HIMARS, because in the USA they say that this is “yet”, but it is likely that these missiles are in Ukraine will come with launchers. However, this time the correspondent did not talk about the timing of the deployment.
