Already from October 1, 2022, women with certain specialties and/or professions will be accepted for military registration of those liable for military service. However, being registered is not a call for service.

And this does not mean that now women need to go to the territorial recruitment centers. Moreover, until the end of 2022, no one will be fined for sure – in particular, women who are registered for the first time. This was noted earlier by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar

Will women be fined later

Penalties for women in the list of specialties that are not registered, and enterprises where there are such workers, will begin from 2023.

At the same time, fines for evading registration cannot be applied to women only need to be registered. The fact is that they are not liable for military service.

Attention! Women become liable for military service only after they become registered with the military, and until the moment they become registered, they are not.

No normative legal act provides for fines for women who are registered for the first time as conscripts,” Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov stressed.

At the same time, if a woman is required to register, but she does not, from 2023, she can be fined.

What is the punishment

For violation of the rules of military registration by conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists, administrative liability is provided – a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles, that is, from 510 up to 850 hryvnia.

Also, an administrative article on “Violation of the legislation on defense, mobilization training and mobilization” can be applied to a woman. This entails a fine of 100 to 200 tax-free minimums – that is, from 1,700 to 3,400 hryvnias.

Note . At the same time, if a woman did not have time to register, this cannot be interpreted as evading from a draft that provides for criminal liability.

While employers can also be fined from 2023.
