On March 18, Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlett, Head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry Pavel Ryabikin and Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov wrote their resignations from their positions. They have already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

This was confirmed by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk. Personnel changes in the government are expected next week.

When the Council will consider ministerial statements

Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that statements from the Ministers of Education and Science, Strategic Industries and Digital Transformation will be considered at the next plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada next week.

After receiving the relevant submission, the deputies will consider the appointment of new ministers.

All applications will be considered according to the law at the next plenary session. New ministers will be appointed immediately upon receipt of the relevant submission, – said Stefanchuk.

Personnel changes in the government: the main thing

• Sergei Shkarlet as Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine will probably be replaced by the director of the Minor Academy of Sciences and a volunteer in the 95th brigade of the DShV Oksen Lesovoy , who now combines work with military service. Shkarlet has been minister since December 2020;
• Pavel Ryabikin as Minister of Strategic Industries is likely to be replaced by the former head of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia Alexander Kamyshin , who resigned on February 27, 2023. Ryabikin has headed the Ministry of Strategic Industry since November 2021;
• The head of the Ministry of Digital Development Mikhail Fedorov, after his resignation, will be appointed to a new position – Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Thus, he will receive more powers.
