Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine need more specialists for new types of weapons. Ukraine will receive them from the allied states.

Roman Gorbach, head of the personnel department of the headquarters of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told the details. He stressed that the army now needs specialists for new types of weapons and to replenish losses.

There are no waves of mobilization

Gorbach noted that at the first stage the queues were very long. Then the territorial centers could not cope with the queues of volunteers. At the same time, as of January 2023, the volume of mobilization has decreased several times.

How the conscription process takes place

Gorbach noted that first of all, personnel are mobilized in certain military specialties .

  • People who have not previously completed their service can only be called up to training centers. There they are trained for certain specialties. And only then – they are sent to military units for specific positions.
  • Only people who have experience in military service, as well as a short break in service, can immediately go to combat military units.

Military registration in Ukraine was carried out in peacetime. As long as it continues. Gorbach explained that without taking into account those liable for military service in the reserve, they could not mobilize.

All people who are called to the territorial recruitment centers are only expected to clarify their military credentials.

And only after he is subject to mobilization, this citizen is sent to the medical commission, and if he is fit for military service, only if he could be mobilized, the message says.
