The incident took place in Berezhany. Prosecutors have already filed an indictment against the perpetrator. She is accused of causing intentional bodily harm to a child.

A woman gouged out her son's eye

The investigators found that the accused deliberately gouged out the eye of her young son. For this, she used a needle.

A woman was with him in a hospital with a suspected infectious disease in a child. When the diagnosis was not confirmed, she intentionally damaged the child's eyeball with a medical needle. – told the prosecutor's office.

Doctors reported this terrible act to law enforcement officers. The detainee did not explain her motives to anyone.

The suspect is sane

Currently, the attacker is in custody. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings for committing intentional grievous bodily harm in a way of a special violent nature, which:

• resulted in the loss of organ function,
• associated with a persistent loss of at least than one-third.

Psychological and psychiatric examination found the accused sane. That is, the woman was aware of her actions and could control them.

Currently, the child is safe. The injury left the boy blind in one eye. The investigation was conducted by National Police investigators.

Pay attention! Under Ukrainian law, the suspect faces 7 to 10 years in prison.
