YouTube video service announced the creation of a $ 100 million fund to pay the authors of Shorts content. YouTube will reward creators with the most popular videos every month throughout 2021 and 2022.

You do not need to be a member of the YouTube affiliate program to participate, but the service will also not help with the production of content. Only producers of original videos will receive money, but it is unclear if this means that videos cannot be uploaded to other platforms.

Shorts is a short video service like TikTok. It has been in test mode since March 2021, and before that, it was available in India since September 2020. According to YouTube, Shorts videos are viewed over 3.5 billion times daily.

In March 2021, TikTok announced a $ 2 billion fund to support bloggers over the next three years. To apply for money from the fund, you must be over 18 years old, constantly publish original videos and create content that complies with the principles of the platform.
