YouTube launched an analogue of the social network TikTok in Russia
Google launched a beta version of the YouTube Shorts service in Russia on July 12, which allows you to shoot and edit short videos.
In the future, the company plans to add more features to this tool, taking into account the opinions of authors and artists.
YouTube Shorts users will be able to record videos up to 60 seconds long in the service itself, add text and automatic subtitles to the video, as well as make short audio recordings from other videos and use basic filters for color correction, RIA Novosti reports.
After the emergence of the social network TikTok, interest in the short video format began to grow. Last year, Facebook launched the short video service Instagram Reels.
Google began testing YouTube Shorts back in 2020 in the US and India. It is currently available in over 20 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Latin American republics.
