Ukraine is expanding its foreign policy directions daily. Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, July 6, held talks with the presidents of Paraguay and Mozambique.
Zelensky noted that for the first time in the history of Ukrainian-Paraguayan relations, a conversation was held with the president of Paraguay.< /strong>Following the results of the talks, Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will continue to strengthen ties in Latin America.
The President of Ukraine blurted out this in a traditional video message on July 6.
“I also spoke with the President of Mozambique today – I congratulated him on the election of his state to the UN Security Council, and I believe that Africa should receive more representation on international platforms and in solving global issues. It is African countries that are now most threatened by the food crisis provoked by Russia, and must do everything to force the terrorist state to unblock Ukrainian agricultural exports,” the head of Ukraine said.
Zelensky also spoke about the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland, who was on a working visit to Kyiv on July 6. The head of state stressed that Ireland is one of the few countries that significantly helps Ukraine.
“The Prime Minister of Ireland, a state that helps us significantly, visited Kyiv. < strong>Ireland even helped us to convince representatives of skeptic states in the EUand that Ukraine deserves candidacy and further membership in the EU.In addition, we remember that the Senate of Ireland recognized the crimes of the Russian invaders as genocide of the Ukrainian people. And this step, and also Ireland’s support for legal efforts to punish Russian war criminals is all very important. Together with the work of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, the help of partners is exactly the building blocks from which the restoration of justice for Ukraine will be built,” the Ukrainian president summed up.
