Zelensky frankly told how often he sees his children during the war
Because of the war, many Ukrainian families are divided – parents do not see their children for a long time, spouses also experience separation. President Volodymyr Zelensky told how often he sees his family at this time.
In an interview, the head of state said that now there is an opportunity to see children more often than at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. The President noted that now he has the opportunity to see his daughter more often than his son.
How often the President sees his children
Vladimir Zelensky said, which has recently been seen with children more often – once every 10 days or 2 weeks. The president's daughter became a student last year, so now she can see her father more often than her son.
For the past few months, I've been seeing my kids once every ten days or two weeks. We eat something, we talk about something. I can see my daughter because from this year she became a student. Therefore, I see her more often than my son,” the President shared.
The head of state said that during the meetings he listens to children more than he speaks. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that his 10-year-old son, like all Ukrainian children, is very mature, because he talks with his father about the war and victory, about the tanks that our partners give us, about the fighters that Ukraine needs.
“On the one hand, it's interesting, on the other hand, it's a tragedy that they talk about this, and not about something childish, not about playing with each other, not about football. That's the difference. But we will change this situation,” Zelensky stressed.
President's working day
In a conversation with a journalist, the president said that his day usually starts at 6:00. After getting up – training, and then work, which lasts until night. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that sometimes one has to wake up at night due to certain events.
It is noteworthy that in this conversation, the president rather modestly described his working day. In an interview with Forbes, Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak told a little more. According to him, the president's day begins with a video caller, meetings with the military, or conversations with the foreign minister or prime minister.
After that, 3 to 5 international calls or meetings can take place. In particular, on the weekends.
“The President meets with journalists, makes speeches every day, speaks at various international venues almost every day. This is also Ukrainian know-how, these speeches from the first days have become a powerful channel for informing the international community about Ukraine, about what is happening, about our struggle.” This is an important factor that everyone in Western countries, from students to artists, supports Ukraine,” Yermak said.
