Zelensky had an informal conversation with Macron/Channel 24 Collage

Volodymyr Zelenskyy had an informal telephone conversation with French leader Emmanuel Macron, who was re-elected to the presidential post. The conversation between the two presidents was private.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Ukrainian leader Sergei Nikiforov on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, channel 24 reports.

According to Nikiforov, Zelensky congratulated Macron on his election victory. The representative of the president did not disclose more details.

Macron's victory in the presidential election

Emmanuel Macron won the second round of the presidential election. After counting 97% of the ballots, he won 57.4% of the vote, while the leader of the far-right National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, received 42.6%.

After his victory in the presidential election, Macron delivered a victorious speech. In it, the President of France said that the war in Ukraine reminds us that these are tragic times.
